Die Kommission hat die 20 Mitglieder des neuen EIC-Boards
ernannt. Dieses besteht nun aus 15 neuen Mitgliedern sowie fünf
Mitgliedern des bisherigen Boards, deren Ernennung verlängert wurde. Die
Mitglieder des EIC-Boards werden für eine zweijährige Amtszeit ernannt,
die zweimal verlängert werden kann.
Deutsches Positionspapier zu FP10
Aktuell wird das neue EU-Rahmenprogramm für Forschung und
Innovation, das FP10, verhandelt. Die Bundesregierung hat nun ein
Positionspapier veröffentlicht, in dem sie ihre Stellungnahme zum
Vorschlag der Europäischen Kommission darlegt. Als zentral für die
Forschung in Europa sieht sie den Freiraum für herausragende Ideen und
deren Transfer in die Praxis. Das Papier beinhaltet auch einige
Forderungen zum EIC.

Sonderansprache der Kommissionspräsidentin und Vorstellung der EU Inc.
In einer Sonderansprache auf dem Weltwirtschaftsforum in
Davos am 20. Januar 2026 bezeichnete die Kommissionspräsidentin Ursula von
der Leyen eine europäische Unabhängigkeit als strukturelles Muss. In ihrer
Rede stellte sie zudem die Schaffung einer neuen europäischen
Unternehmensstruktur namens EU Inc. in Aussicht. Diese soll als einfaches
Regelwerk in der ganzen Union gelten und es Unternehmerinnen und
Unternehmern ermöglichen, ihr Unternehmen innerhalb von 48 Stunden online
zu registrieren.

Der EIC
Datahub (European Innovation Council) ist ein interaktives Online-Tool
der Exekutivagentur für den Europäischen Innovationsrat und KMU (EISMEA).
Über dieses Tool können sich Antragstellende im EIC Accelerator einen
guten Überblick über geförderte Projekte verschaffen. So können Sie sehen,
welche Themen und Unternehmen erfolgreich waren.

Der EIC Accelerator richtet sich an kleine und mittlere
Unternehmen, einschließlich Start-ups, die bahnbrechende, risikoreiche
Deep-Tech-Innovationen mit hohem Marktpotenzial entwickeln. Das Programm
bietet sowohl Zuschüsse als auch Beteiligungskapital, um Innovationen bis
zur Marktreife zu bringen.
Das Bewerbungsverfahren für den EIC Accelerator ist
dreistufig: In der ersten Stufe wird ein Kurzantrag mit Video und
Pitch-Präsentation eingereicht. In der zweiten Stufe stellen die
Kandidaten mit den besten Projektvorschlägen einen Vollantrag. In der
dritten Stufe werden besonders vielversprechende Antragstellende zu einem
Interview eingeladen.

Antragstellenden Informationen zum Programm und einen Einblick in die
Antragstellung.

Die Teilnahme an den Modulen steht ausschließlich KMU und
Start-ups offen, die bereits einen eigenen Antrag beim EIC Accelerator
gestellt haben oder dies planen. Beratungsagenturen sind von der Teilnahme
ausgeschlossen. Die Teilnahme ist kostenlos.
EIC Summit am 3. und 4. Juni 2026
Mittwoch 3. Juni 2026, 10:00 Uhr bis Donnerstag 4.
Juni 2026, 17:00 Uhr (CEST), Brüssel
Die EIC-Leitveranstaltung wird am 3. und 4. Juni 2026 in
Tour & Taxis (Brüssel) stattfinden. Während der Veranstaltung haben
die Teilnehmer Gelegenheit zum Networking und zum Treffen mit
EIC-Projekten, die in der Ausstellung präsentiert werden.

Commission appoints new members to the EIC Board
The Commission has appointed a new EIC Board, consisting
of fifteen new members and five members from the previous Board whose
appointments have been extended. EIC Board members serve a two-year term,
which can be renewed twice.
German position paper on FP10
Negotiations are currently underway on the new EU
Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (FP10). The German
government has now published a position paper setting out its views on the
European Commission's proposal. The paper emphasises the importance of
creating space for exceptional research ideas and facilitating their
implementation. It also contains a number of demands regarding the
EIC.

Special address by the President of the Commission and presentation of EU Inc.
In a special address at the World Economic Forum in Davos
on 20 January 2026, Commission President Ursula von der Leyen described
European independence as essential. She also proposed the creation of a
new European corporate structure called EU Inc. This would be a
straightforward set of rules applicable throughout the EU, enabling
entrepreneurs to register their company online within 48 hours.

The EIC
Datahub (European Innovation Council) is an interactive online tool
provided by the Executive Agency for the European Innovation Council and
SMEs (EISMEA). This tool provides applicants for the EIC Accelerator with
an excellent overview of funded projects, making it ideal for identifying
which topics and companies have already received funding.

The EIC Accelerator is aimed at small and medium-sized
enterprises, including start-ups, developing breakthrough, high-risk,
deep-tech innovations with high market potential. The programme offers
both grants and equity capital to bring innovations to market.
The application process for the EIC Accelerator has three
stages: In the first stage, a short application with a video and pitch
presentation is submitted. In the second stage, the candidates with the
best project proposals submit a full proposal. In the third stage,
particularly promising applicants are invited to an interview.
The online seminar series of the NCP EIC Accelerator
provides applicants with information on the programme and an insight into
the application process.

Participation in the modules is only open to SMEs and
start-ups that have already submitted their own application to the EIC
Accelerator or are planning to do so. Consultancy agencies are excluded
from participation. Participation is free of charge.

2026, 5:00 pm, Brussels
The EIC Summit will take place on June 3 and 4, 2026 in
Tour & Taxis (Brussels). During the event, participants will have the
opportunity to network and meet EIC projects that will be presented in the
exhibition.
