Die Europäische Kommission hat die neue EU-Strategie
„Choose Europe to Start and Scale“ für Start-ups und Scale-ups
vorgestellt. Damit soll Europa zu einem attraktiven und zukunftsfähigen
Standort für die Gründung und das Wachstum technologieorientierter
Unternehmen werden. Die Strategie steht im Einklang mit der umfassenderen
Initiative „Choose Europe“, die von EU-Kommissionspräsidentin von der
Leyen ins Leben gerufen wurde. In der Strategie werden die wichtigsten
Bedürfnisse von Start-ups und Scale-ups identifiziert und eine Reihe von
Maßnahmen in fünf Hauptbereichen vorgeschlagen. Unter anderem soll der
Scaleup Europe Fund eingerichtet werden, um die Finanzierungslücke von
Deep-Tech-Scale-up-Unternehmen zu schließen.
Zweite Bewerbungsrunde von EIC STEP Scale-up abgeschlossen
Die Kommission hat die zweite Gruppe von Unternehmen
bekannt gegeben, die die zweite Bewerbungsrunde des EIC STEP Scale-up
erfolgreich bestanden haben. Vier Unternehmen aus vier Ländern, darunter
eines aus Deutschland, wurden aus 19 eingereichten Anträgen ausgewählt.
Sie erhalten insgesamt bis zu 90 Millionen Euro an Kapitalbeteiligungen
und werden nun dem EIC-Fonds zur Investitionsentscheidung vorgelegt. Damit
erhalten sie auch das STEP-Siegel, welches den Zugang zu ergänzenden oder
alternativen Finanzierungen sowie zu den EIC Business Acceleration
Services erleichtern soll.
EIC auf Sifted Investoren Ranking 2025 auf dem fünften Platz
Für das „Sifted 100: DACH & CEE investor ranking
(2025)“ wurden die Investoren ermittelt, die die erfolgreichsten
Unternehmen der Region unterstützen und eine Liste erstellt, in der 125
Investoren aufgeführt sind. Der EIC belegt den fünften Platz auf der
Liste.
Gut zu wissen
Teams, die einen erfolgreichen Kurzantrag im EIC
Accelerator in 2023 gestellt haben, haben noch die Möglichkeit einen
Vollantrag zum Stichtag am 1. Oktober 2025 einzureichen. Das gilt auch für
Wiedereinreichungen. Danach muss ein neuer Kurzantrag gestellt werden.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass Teams, die ab 2024 dreimal abgelehnt wurden (egal
in welcher Stufe), bis 2028 für den EIC Accelerator gesperrt sind.

Online-Seminar der NKS EIC Accelerator im Juli 2025
1. Juli, 11:00 Uhr, online
Der EIC Accelerator richtet sich an kleine und mittlere
Unternehmen, einschließlich Start-ups, die bahnbrechende, risikoreiche
Innovationen mit hohem Marktpotenzial entwickeln. Das Programm bietet
sowohl Zuschüsse als auch Beteiligungskapital, um Innovationen bis zur
Marktreife zu bringen. Das Bewerbungsverfahren für den EIC Accelerator ist
dreistufig: In der ersten Stufe wird ein Kurzantrag mit Video und
Pitch-Präsentation eingereicht. In der zweiten Stufe stellen die
Kandidaten mit den besten Projektvorschlägen einen Vollantrag. In der
dritten Stufe werden besonders vielversprechende Antragstellende zu einem
Interview eingeladen.

1.7. Antragstellerwerkstatt zum Vollantrag mit Tipps und Tricks aus Gutachtersicht, 11:00-12:30 Uhr, online. Zu Gast: Prof. Erwin Prassler, Gutachter EIC Accelerator. Dieses Online-Seminar richtet sich an KMU und Startups, die einen Vollantrag zum Stichtag am 1.10.2025 vorbereiten.
Die Teilnahme an dem Module steht ausschließlich KMU und
Start-ups offen, die bereits einen eigenen Antrag beim EIC Accelerator
gestellt haben oder dies planen. Beratungsagenturen sind von der Teilnahme
ausgeschlossen. Die Teilnahme ist kostenlos.
Webseminar zu Fördermöglichkeiten in den Förderprogrammen des Europäischen Innovationsrats (EIC) - EIC Pathfinder & EIC Transition & EIC Accelerator
2. Juli 2025 10:00–11:30 Uhr, online
Am 2. Juli 2025 lädt das Steinbeis Europa Zentrum in
Kooperation mit der Nationalen Kontaktstellen EIC Pathfinder und EIC
Accelerator zu einer kompakten Online-Infoveranstaltung rund um die
aktuellen und kommenden Ausschreibungen im Rahmen des Europäischen
Innovationsrats (European Innovatoin Council; EIC) ein.
Im Fokus stehen die Förderprogramme EIC Pathfinder, EIC
Transition und EIC Accelerator, die gezielt wegweisende Forschungsideen,
technologische Fortschritte, innovationsnahe Projekte sowie
wachstumsstarke Start-ups unterstützen.

"Choose Europe to Start and Scale" - Commission presents new strategy for start-ups and scale-ups
The European Commission has presented the new EU strategy
“Choose Europe to Start and Scale” for start-ups and scale-ups. The aim is
to make Europe an attractive and sustainable location for the creation and
growth of technology-oriented companies. The strategy is in line with the
broader “Choose Europe” initiative launched by EU Commission President von
der Leyen. The strategy identifies the key needs of start-ups and
scale-ups and proposes a series of measures in five main areas. Among
other measures, a Scaleup Europe Fund is to be set up to close the
financing gap for deep-tech scale-up companies.
Second round of EIC STEP Scale-up applications completed
The Commission has announced the second group of companies
that have successfully passed the second round of EIC STEP Scale-up
applications. Four companies from four countries, including one from
Germany, were selected from 19 applications submitted. They will receive a
total of up to 90 Mio. EUR in equity investment and will now be submitted
to the EIC Fund for an investment decision. They will also receive the
STEP seal, which is intended to facilitate access to supplementary or
alternative financing as well as access to the EIC Business Acceleration
Services.
EIC in fifth place in the Sifted Investor Ranking 2025
For the "Sifted 100: DACH & CEE investor ranking
(2025)", the investors who support the most successful companies in the
region were identified and a list of 125 investors was compiled. EIC
occupies fifth place on the list.
Good to know
Teams that have submitted a successful short application to the EIC Accelerator in 2023 still have the opportunity to submit a full application by the deadline of 1 October 2025. This also applies to resubmissions. After that, a new short application must be submitted. Please note that teams that have been rejected three times from 2024 onwards (regardless of the stage) will be blocked from the EIC Accelerator until 2028.

The EIC Accelerator is aimed at small and medium-sized
enterprises, including start-ups, that develop ground-breaking, high-risk
innovations with high market potential. The program offers both grants and
equity capital to bring innovations to market. The application process for
the EIC Accelerator has three stages: In the first stage, a short
application with video and pitch presentation is submitted. In the second
stage, the candidates with the best short proposals submit a full
proposal. In the third stage, particularly promising applicants are
invited to an interview.

Participation in the modules is only open to SMEs and
start-ups that have already submitted their own application to the EIC
Accelerator or are planning to do so. Consulting agencies are excluded
from participation. Participation is free of charge.
